Last weekend Justin wasn’t feeling well so he was in bed early. I started straightening (read: hiding/shoving) up the dining. It had become a dumping ground for décor that hadn’t found a home yet. In the pile of picture frames was a poster frame I picked up at a garage sale for $1.
I decided to do an impromptu project with only the materials and supplies that were currently in the house.
1. Garage Sale Frame – $1!
2. Sketched out the layout. I wanted room for weekly menu planning and list making.
4. I adhered the paper directly on to the sketch to be sure it would fit into the frame.
I decided to hang the memo board in the pantry. It is the perfect place to organize our weekly meals and shopping trips. The look of the memo board it isn’t exactly what I want but it felt good to drop everything and make it. The beauty of this project is because the entire project is behind the plastic. I can change out the papers when I find the patterns and colors that are just right.
***Sorry for the horrible photos. The late night project and windowless pantry weren’t easy to work with.
