Braun Birth Announcement 2.0

Posted by on March 30, 2011

One week from today my baby will be one day old. It’s time to start thinking birth announcements.  Good thing I’ve been thinking about the announcement since the plus sign appeared on the stick.  We don’t know if we are having a boy or girl and we don’t have names picked out. Throughout the past few months this impending project has been haunting me. I don’t know what sort of colors to use, I don’t know what fonts will look nice with the name. I’m in a real predicament here folks. Until….last week….

In one of my insomnia stretches I was browsing the web. I found this really cool card idea. It didn’t even hit me that this would be the perfect way to announce the next Baby Braun until the next day. Tells you exactly how clear I’m thinking this late at night. Note to self: do not use power tools after midnight or before 5:00 am.  I’d love to share my vision with you…but you know how I am about surprises. I will tease you a little with some features of this announcement.

FACT: If the design stays exactly as planned (long shot) in my head no paper will be harmed or used in this announcement. (Except for the use of a photo and envelope)

FACT: The idea for this project was inspired by a business card.

FACT: Heat will be involved in the making of this announcement.

FACT: This announcement will include a photo. (Anything else would be disappointing)

FACT: Although this project now has a direction we still are without a font, name, or color scheme. Hardly progress if you really think of it.

Well that is all for now. Let’s take a look at the original Braun Birth Announcement (1.0)

Hard to believe she was ever that small.
